WHY THIS MATTERS:
On August 1, 2024, Wisconsin became the first state in the nation to launch the Inflation Reduction Act’s HOMES rebate program, and shortly after, the first to launch both HOMES and HEAR. Now, one year later, Wisconsin (and Milwaukee in particular) has led the country in enrolling residents and delivering real, measurable carbon reduction in homes.
According to national experts, Green Homeowners United has completed more HOMES rebate projects than any contractor in the country, helping the Milwaukee metro area become a national model for energy efficiency, equity, and workforce opportunity.
This anniversary event will bring together state elected officials, labor leaders, climate organizers, and energy professionals to reflect on lessons learned and chart the next chapter of this historic investment in people and planet.
